Anti-inflammatory Food Pyramid: Is Dr. Weil on to something?

The 2010 USDA Dietary Guidelines were released a few days ago.  They're an improvement over the older recommendations, but there are still some details lacking and it seems to stress what not to do instead of what to do!

I base my diet and my recommendations for my clients more on  Dr. Weil's Anti-Inflammatory diet and pyramid.  It highlights the foods on which we should be focusing.  Dr. Weil is a well recognized name in the field of integrative medicine and nutrition.  His pyramid stresses the importance of antioxidants and phytotonutrients, healthy fats and keeping blood sugar stable...all key to allow our most youthful selves to shine through.  Bon Appetit!
